Q: What are the Dream Events terms and conditions?

A:

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By registering and agreeing to these terms, you hereby release Dream Events, Inc®., its employees, and any sponsors, vendors, instructors or associates from any and all liability, claims, lawsuits, damages, losses, costs, and expenses of any kind which arise out of or result from your attendance and participation in the Scrapper’s Dream Vacation®, whether or not foreseeable, including personal injuries to yourself. With your attendance at this event, you agree that you and/or your scrapbooks may be included in publicity photos. These special weekend package rates do not include any incidentals incurred by you such as phone bills, rollaways, refrigerators, room service, movie charges, etc., and will be your responsibility to pay the hotel for these extra charges before check-out.

ATTENDEE REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS / GUEST ROOMING LIST:  Due to the specific nature of the meeting contracts that Dream Events, Inc. negotiates with each individual hotel/resort location, we do require that ALL attendees who will be lodging and residing in a guest room during our event be listed on our official "Guest Rooming List" document. In addition to our contract requirements for any particular event location, this information may also help us locate a particular person or persons in case of an emergency situation should one arise during our stay. Failure to comply with this policy will void the confirmed attendee registration process for the individual or group in question depending on the circumstances presented. A definite exception to this rule would be an attendee who books and pays for their own guest room reservation for a weekend event that is sponsored by Dream Events, Inc. In any case that person should be listed on the registration roster for the hotel front desk department and this can easily be confirmed by Dream Events, Inc. upon request to the hotel reservation or group sales departments.

PACKAGES: Effective with all SDV programs being held after October 01, 2007, we will no longer be able to accommodate mixed occupancy packages. All overnight attendees will need to sign up for the same package as their roommates. If there is a difference in someone's registration, we will change the package to match the other roommates packages. If one or two people out of three or four total roommates are coming earlier than the rest, we suggest you work out an amicable financial exchange amongst yourselves, to make the package fair for all. Due to the programming and time involved in working up special mixed occupancy packages, we decided that it is not beneficial for us to continue offering more than the vast array of packages we already offer.

ELECTRICAL USAGE:  Dream Events, Inc.® does not supply electrical cords or outlets for your personal table lights at most locations. If you choose to take advantage of a nearby electrical outlet in the hotel crop room, you must secure your own electrical cord to the floor with duct tape only. No clear tape or masking tape shall be acceptable and will need to be replaced immediately with the proper duct tape. If this is not possible, the electric cord will need to be removed immediately. Dream Events, Inc.® cannot supply duct tape to any attendees. Dream Events, Inc.® is furthermore released from any and all liability, claims, lawsuits, damages, losses, costs, and expenses of any kind which arise out of or result from your usage of the hotel's electrical supply.

BEVERAGES:  Due to the fact that everyone's photos and paper supplies are spread out around the room, there will be NO open drink containers allowed in the crop room. Please make sure all your drinks are in a covered mug or a screw cap bottle. Alcoholic beverages cannot be displayed openly and drinking of alcoholic beverages should be kept to a respectable minimum. No loud vulgarities and rude behavior will be tolerated.

CROP TABLES:  Due to the fact that everyone takes up a lot of aisle space with crop totes, etc., additional side tables will not be allowed on the crop room floor. We allow a very generous six foot minimum of aisle space between the tables where chairs meet back to back. Fire codes and other safety issues do not tolerate any clogging of walkways and doorways. Any additional side tables that are set up at the Scrapper's Dream Vacation® will need to be removed.

UNSOLICITED ADVERTISING:  Unsolicited advertising in the form of coupons, flyers, and any other means, printed or otherwise, is strictly prohibited. Any person or group found distributing unsolicited advertising will be subject to advertising fees determined by Dream Events, Inc. Distribution of flyers, coupons and any other printed materials is in direct violation of attendee registration and our contracts with on-site vendors.

UNAPPROVED SELLING:  Selling products from your table without previously obtaining permission from Dream Events, Inc. will not be tolerated. Any person or group found selling items at the Scrapper's Dream Vacation®, without filling out a vendor form and paying the required vendor booth fees will be charged additional vendor fees and will be required to remove the items for sale from the premises immediately.

BABIES & TODDLERS:  There will be no babies or toddlers allowed in the crop room or classrooms at the SDV for an extended period of time. A quick visit by family members is acceptable, but we do not want them to be in the crop room for longer than that.

RETURNED CHECK FEE:  There will be a $25.00 penalty fee added to your account balance for any checks returned for Insufficient Funds.

CANCELLATION POLICY --- Please Read!

If you cancel between the day you paid your initial deposit through 45 days before the event start-date, there will be a $10.00 processing fee deducted from any monies refunded to you.  

If you cancel between 31 days through 44 days before the event start-date, there will be a $15.00 processing fee deducted from any monies refunded to you. 

If you cancel 30 days through 15 days before the event start-date, there will be a $25.00 processing fee deducted from any monies refunded to you.

If you cancel 14 days through 8 days before the event start-date, there will be a $50.00 processing fee deducted from any monies refunded to you.

For any cancellations that are made 7 days or less before the event start-date, all monies paid are Non-Refundable

NOTE:  If you have paid on your account using a check, your refund will not be mailed until your check clears the bank.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT ROOMMATES - When you cancel, your roommate(s) are automatically changed to the correct package, and they will be responsible for the increase in their package costs. They have the option to cancel their package or replace your spot with someone else.  If you are due a refund, and you have canceled within three weeks of the SDV, your roommate(s) must pay for their new package balance before any refunds are made to insure that all room charges are covered.  

NO SHOWS = ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS!!!  Anyone who does not show up at the SDV without prior written notice are considered to be NO-SHOWS.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  We have been very lenient with people not paying their balances before the event. Balances that need to be paid at the event cause extra work, and delays at the registration desk. Due to this as well as strict contract obligations, Dream Events, Inc. will require that ALL ATTENDEE BALANCES MUST BE PAID by the posted deadline date for each event. We understand special circumstances and if you contact us, we will do our best to work with you, but if we receive no contact from you, you will be canceled.  We ask for your generous cooperation in paying your balances ASAP.
